Team Cancer & Pediatric Patient Services is led by Captain James Hodgkiss and Alternate Captain Kevin Hettinger. This team will be raising funds for cancer patient services and pediatric patient services in Tampa Bay.

The Lightning team members drafted to team Cancer & Pediatric Patient Services are #91 Steven Stamkos, #88 Andrei Vasilevskiy, #41 Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, and #81 Erik Cernak.

Team Captain James Hodgkiss: "Cancer- the deadly C word- we all know someone who has been given this diagnosis. Some fight the fight and win their battle, others not so fortunate. I, like many people, have lost loved ones to cancer. Most recently, in 2020, I lost my Memaw to pancreatic cancer. Young, vibrant, full of life and a fighter-seemed surreal that she would not be able to win the battle. I, with my loved ones, participate in the annual pancreatic cancer walk not only to raise money but raise awareness. In 2011, my world came to a halt- the man who helped raise me, lost his battle to cancer- the patriarch of our family - strong and invincible yet was not able to beat cancer- how could that even be possible?!? I know I have similar stories to others, which is why I am so passionate about making a difference. Raising awareness, raising money for research, and sharing stories so that we can win the battle against cancer!! I cannot think of a better way to do this than teaming up with the best franchise in all of sports!!!"

Alternate Captain Kevin Hettinger: "Being a part of the Cancer and Pediatric Support fundraising campaign is a very personal mission for me. Having lost my father at the young age of 55 to cancer in 2009, I know first hand how devastating cancer can impact a family and community. I'm also the father of a very healthy 15 year old stepson and 6 year old daughter. Not everyone has been as fortunate as I have been. For years I have done what I can to support numerous organizations who's direct mission is to help pediatric and families who are going through difficult times. As fortunate as I have been, I want to help those who have not been as fortunate as me."
