This item includes four bottles from one of Lexington's most historic and storied distilleries, as well as a private tour led by owner Amir Peay.
Old Pepper Small Batch (108.8 proof) and Old Pepper Single Barrel (115.4 proof) - This label celebrates the rebuilt Pepper Distillery where we showcase our single barrel picks, small-batch bottlings, or limited specialty finishes. Age statements and bottling proofs are on the labels. Bottled by hand at the Historic James E. Pepper Distillery, using water from the historic limestone well to cut whiskeys to proof. Distilled at various distilleries, including ours (DSP-KY-5), the Lawrenceburg Distillery in Indiana (DSP-IN-15023), and the Bardstown Bourbon Co. in Kentucky (DSP-KY-20037); relevant details can be found on the labels.
"1776" Straight Bourbon (100 Proof) - Rich bourbon sweetness & rye spice; vanilla, honey, cloves, & chocolate. Neat, over ice, or in a proper Old Fashioned, this whiskey rocks. Unfiltered - 60% Corn, 36% Rye and 4% Malted Barley in the Mash Bill; Aged 3-4 years; Distilled at the Lawrenceburg Distillery in Indiana or Bardstown Bourbon Co. in Kentucky (see back label for state of distillation). Cut to Proof and Hand Bottled at the Historic James E. Pepper Distillery using water from the historic limestone well.
"1776" Straight Rye (100 proof) - Complex and flavorful; notes of mint, cloves, eucalyptus, chocolate, & honey. Our most popular whiskey; a great sipper neat or on the rocks, and makes the perfect Old Fashioned or Manhattan. Unfiltered - 95% Rye and 5% Malted Barley in the Mash Bill; Aged 3-4 years; Distilled at the Lawrenceburg Distillery in Indiana. Cut to Proof and Hand Bottled at the Historic James E. Pepper Distillery using water from the historic limestone well.
