Up for bidding is two (2) framed animation cel art of Betty Boop!

Black frame cel measures 18x22
Grey frame cel measures 17x19.5

Betty Boop is an iconic cartoon character created by Max Fleischer. She originally appeared in the Talkartoon and Betty Boop film series, which were produced by Fleischer Studios and released by Paramount Pictures. She was featured in 90 theatrical cartoons between 1930 and 1939. Betty Boop, a caricature of a Jazz Age flapper, has been featured in comic strips and mass merchandising.

The most popular form of animation art is the "production cel," in other words, a hand-painted animation cel that was actually filmed to create one frame of an animated scene that appeared in a cartoon. The overwhelming popularity of the production cel is most likely because collectors best identify with the final painted version of the character. Production cels can range from thousands of dollars each (for rare, early Disney cels) to only a couple of dollars each (for commercial cels and some Anime cels)
