Cove's Point Description

Location: Cove's Point is located in Captain's Cove, just over the Maryland State line and one of the best-kept secrets on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Located at the "point" in the Cove, live both bayfront and canal front with stunning views of the Chincoteague Bay. Only 20 short minutes by car or boat to Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. Ocean City and Berlin, MD are a short 45 minute drive away. You have no lack of quaint towns to visit, historic landmarks, local artisan shops, top chef eateries, or beautiful ecosystems to explore. One of the most gorgeous, cleanest beaches in America, Assateague Island National Park, is only 20 minutes down the street. You may choose to never leave and will love having your own private dock! Enjoy crabbing in your backyard, or casting a line and catching a flounder, croaker, ray, or even small sand sharks at night! Bring your kayaks, jet skis, or boat and launch from the private dock, or the marina just around the corner.

Captain's Cove is a resort community and includes 24-hour security to ensure a peaceful vacation. It is loaded with amenities - a golf course, indoor pool, 2 outdoor pools - bayfront with Tiki Bar, fitness center, playground, restaurant, and marina - all just minutes from the home!

Upon arriving at Cove's Point, you'll notice panoramic water views. The home has an open living area, open kitchen/dining area and sunroom. Also, on this level is a gorgeous master bedroom with a king bed, a private full bathroom with tub/shower combo, and a half bath/laundry room. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, just in case you need some extra space to stretch out.

Duck out to the cozy sun room, just off the living room, and take in water views and the sunrise with your morning coffee. What a great place to curl up with a good book, or enjoy meals here at the large dining table.
From the sunroom, deck, or grounds you can look across Chincoteague Bay to the Island of Chincoteague, NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, and Assateague Island where the wild ponies roam. You'll see fishermen in the early morning fishing at sunrise or deploying their crab traps right off your dock! Later you can join paddle boarders, kayaks, canoes, jet skis, sail and pontoon boats enjoying the Bay waters. In the evening, the beautiful night sky, lights across the Bay, including the Assateague lighthouse, provide the perfect backdrop for a dinner for two or a larger family gathering around the table. Like to dine al fresco? Enjoy a cocktail on the sun deck or BBQ on the covered lower deck living space or dock as you watch the sun sink into Chincoteague Bay. If you prefer to go out, you'll love the local meals at Bill's, The Crusty Crab Seafood Shack, Ray's Shanty, or our Captain's Cove marina restaurant.

Cove's Point sleeps 10 comfortably in 3 Bedrooms, including the sleeper sofa in the living room. Bedroom 2 and 3 are on the third level and include a queen bed and two sets of bunk beds and private decks. A full bath with tub/shower combo is conveniently located between the two bedrooms. The home has wifi.

We have a library of local authors, ESVA culture, natural history and guides in the home for you to use.
