Harvard's own maître brasseur, Marc Vilain, has been creating craft beers that delight his friends and neighbors. Here's your chance to try Marc's fabulous Belgian-inspired ales. These ales are strong-6.5-9.5%. They are especially good to share with friends. This collection includes four 22 oz. bottles:
· Festin de campagne, a Flemish oud bruin (Flanders Brown). The Flemish name refers to the long aging process, which can be up to a year.
· Fete Champetre, a Flemish cherry ale, an ale with character and balance, it has cherry and oak flavors.
· West Flanders Dubbel, Abbey ale, in the style of Belgian Trappist monks, is a strong dark ale that goes well with lamb or game meats or by itself.
· Bal de campagne, Biere blonde (Belgian blond ale), is a medium-bodied ale with a spiced and fruity-ester character.
