Medium: signed and framed giclee print of an original papercutting

Artist Statement: Angie Pickman is a nationally recognized cut paper artist that combines the art of traditional paper cutting with collage to create intricately detailed works of art and animations. Her work is heavily inspired by her love of nature and the tranquility of the terrain of rural Kansas. She has been featured in Martha Stewart Living and Midwest Living magazines, and her animation work premiered on PBS in 2016 in the documentary Daughters of the Forest. She has won numerous awards for her work, including an Independent Music Award for album art.

"My cut paper collages reflect my need to simplify while at the same time appreciate the beauty of even the most minute aspects found in nature: intricately detailed subjects, often combined with bursts of color, made by cutting away all that is unnecessary."

Piece Details: Piece is 11" x 14" (8" x 4" without frame) set in a white matte and a black frame with glass. Frame is pre-wired to hang vertically.
