Villa Sassella is situated in the hamlet of Compignano approximately nine miles from Lucca in Tuscany, Italy. The house is thought to date back to the 14th century and was restored in the 1970s, having been derelict since the 1940s. It has five bedrooms, one twin and four double, and the Pool Suite has an adjoining room with two small single beds which are ideally suited for children. All the rooms have en suite facilities.

There is a full kitchen, a large dining room, and several sitting rooms. A cook and daily cleaning and laundry service is available, but not included in the auction. This service can be arranged for you prior to your visit, or when you arrive. This service comes highly recommended at a very competitive rate.

Villa Sassella also features the following amenities - swimming pool, game room with satellite TV, tennis court, foosball table, small library, puzzles, games, and a stereo system. Use of local Italian internet service providers is available to enable easy internet access from your laptop. The house also has an unencrypted Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, Italian lessons, a tennis coach, or a variety of personalized sightseeing and garden tours can be organized.
