Enjoy a beautiful fall day on the Columbia River pursuing fall Chinook Salmon for 2 people! The month of September provides a unique opportunity to fish for this premier species which provide a great fight and wonderful table fare. Salmon begin entering the mouth of the Columbia River every August and make their way to to spawning grounds in the upper tributaries. September is the perfect time to catch them as they travel through our section of the Columbia River. The Oso Verde (24 ft. fishing vessel) is moored at the Camas Port. We will leave from The Port and travel up river to fish in the scenic Columbia Gorge between Troutdale and Multnomah Falls. Our primary tactic is trolling using a variety of lures. Once our fishing rods are in the water, you sit back, enjoy the scenic beauty and wait for the "take down" and a great fish fighting experience. These bright up-river fish will generally run between 10 and 20 pounds with an occasional "big one" running 25 pounds or more. Our fishing day will start early and extend into the late afternoon (3pm or so) depending on conditions and the fishing luck. Each licensed person on board is allowed to keep one fish per day. We will also supply a gourmet deli lunch and snacks. All you need is your favorite beverage!
This basket also includes, a 6 pack of beer, snacks and sunscreen!
Additional Information/Restrictions: Due to the salmon season, this package is available during the month of September, 2022. If you do not have a seasonal fishing license and catch record card then a one day fishing license and catch is required and will cost approximately $17 for a Washington resident and $27 for out of state residents.
Tax and gratuity not included.
