Guide: Mark DeLong is a volunteer instructor and guide for reel recovery -- Guiding men with cancer fly-fishing. He has been drifting and fishing the Deschutes the last 3 decades.

Deschutes river float: The flot winds through the beautiful high basalt walls of the Deschutes river starting below Maupin at beavertail cg and will end at Mac's Canyon. Flot in a 16' Clackacraft drift boat made especially for PNW white waters. Class 1-3 rapids only.

Lodging: Enjoy one night lodging at the Imperial River Co. on the banks of the Deschutes river.

Time of year: May to July is the best time for fishing trout. September to October is for steelhead (can still be productive for trout if you prefer the fall) You pick the month and any mid-week day Monday to Thursday.

Additional Information/Restrictions: Deschutes river fishing regulations do not allow fishing from the boat. And native trout are catch & release. Expiration 6/23
