A 36 inch by 36 inch oil painting of a Tiger by artist Sonia Gil Torres.
The realist painter, Sonia Torres is best known for her horses, wildlife and flowers compositions. From 1970, when she immigrated to the United States, she has painted in a number of cities including New York, Chicago, Miami and Boca Raton, Florida.
Born in 1936 in Cali Colombia, she was encouraged during her studies by Sister Rosa del Carmelo. She was accepted at the Conservatory de Bellas Artes and obtained the B.A. in Fine Arts in 1956.
Mrs Torres is currently living in Boca Raton, Fl. She is still painting in her home.
