Dakota State Women's Basketball

The Dakota State Women's Basketball program is about so much more than just basketball. All of us on the basketball team are required to give back to people and places that have helped shape us, live with an attitude of gratitude and continually work on becoming a better servant leader.

Our program is built on a culture of:

Conduct - Effort, attitude, actions, words, body language, etc. In every situation, control what you can control and things outside your control, give your best to get through it.
Respect - Give the game what it deserves, your very best. Treat officials, opponents, teammates, coaches and fans the way that you would want to be treated.
F.A.M.I.L.Y. - We are a family, we work for each other, care about each other and push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. Family stands for - Forget About Me I Love You! Putting each other first will lead to team success.
Discipline - Making the daily decision to do things the right way, no matter what, in everything you do. "How you do anything, is how you do everything" is a phrase they hear from the program everyday. In every aspect of our lives, we will strive to have the discipline to be our best, win or lose, we will give our best.
Additional financial support will allow us to remain highly competitive for conference championships, play a more competitive non-conference schedule against other ranked teams and compete for National Championships, which is what every student-athlete dreams of doing.
