The Three P's

Ms. Rios led the MP1, MP2, and MP3 classes to create a beautiful paper mosaic cross.

This is No. 3 of The Three P's and features a white cross with a red stole signifying the crucifixion of Christ.

Students were given paper to rip, tear and crumble. They worked together to glue the pieces of paper which resulted in a colorful three dimensional cross and adorned it with a beautiful felt stole.

Each cross was inspired by the folktale The Three Trees - a story about three trees on a mountaintop that dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up. Their wishes came true, but in unexpected and beautiful ways, the moral being that God always has a plan for us, and we should trust it even if it turns out differently than we expected.

These pieces are being sold separately, but would make a beautiful triptych with the three framed next to each other.
