36" x 48" original Mike Han artwork. Graffiti ink on a blueprint salvaged by Woodward Throwbacks. The hand-drawn blueprint is of New Quad Theater in West Bloomfield, MI, designed by Louis Wiltse Architect in 1979. Witse also designed the State Theatre in Ann Arbor and the Farmington Civic Theater. Mike Han creates artwork organically, without planning or sketches, and in this case, with an instrument designed for graffiti. Han's linework is character driven and pushed into abstraction through expressive gestures inspired by Korean calligraphy and graffiti tags. He strives to find balance in life and art by connecting people, places, and ideas through physically connected lines. Mike is an Art Prize Equity Grant award winner and has paintings in the permanent collection of Huntington Bank, Henry Ford Health Systems, Shinola, and Daxton Hotel.
