Kathleen Herlihy-Paoli grew up in Westport, CT. She holds a degree in Fine Art from Skidmore College, and has taken several graduate classes in painting and printmaking from Pratt Institute. In 1995 she moved to Missoula, MT with her husband John.

A solo show of new work, entitled Intermission was exhibited in NYC in February, 2022 at Marinaro Gallery. A traveling show of recent work, entitled Act Three, has been exhibited at the Missoula Art Museum, The Emerson in Bozeman, Paris Gibson Square in Great Falls, The Holter in Helena, and at MonDak in Sydney, all sponsored by MAGDA.

The summer of 2020 included a residency with Open A.I.R. MT, which was spent at Fort Missoula. In 2018 she had a solo show at the Center for the Arts in Jackson Hole, WY. She has participated in group shows in Missoula, MT, Bozeman, MT, Boston, MA, Portland and Springfield, OR, Philadelphia, PA, Saratoga Springs, NY, and in Sassoferrato, Italy.

Her work is in several private collections in the US and in Italy.
