Debbie's creative practice explores the intersection of the natural and man made world, as well as how narratives can be constructed as a collaboration between artist and viewer. Her sculptural work ranges from individual pieces to wall and floor installations sometimes paired with drawings. She has been a resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts, The Appalachian Center for Crafts in Smithville, Tenn., and the Arts in Industry program at Kohler in Sheboygan, Wis. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Long Beach Museum of Art in Long Beach, Calif., and The Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Mont., as well as the John Michael Kohler Art Center. She has been included in exhibitions at the Long Beach Museum of Art in Long Beach, Calif., Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Mass., the Clay Studio of Philadelphia and the Red Lodge Clay Center. She is currently an assistant professor in sculpture at St. Norbert College and maintains a studio in Appleton, Wis.
