Click HereRead to Grow's critical statewide early literacy work ensures that children and families across Connecticut are supported from birth in their literacy journey. Two thirds of children in Connecticut still do not have books of their own at home; we need your help to change that. Since the pandemic, Read to Grow has safely distributed more than 260,000 books to children and families across Connecticut, including 22,000 copies of our new board book, Hello Sometimes. Join us in recognizing the Literacy Champions who help Read to Grow level the early literacy playing field.
OUR MISSION
To promote language skills and literacy for children, beginning at birth, and to support parents as their babies' first teachers.
OUR VISION
Every family will understand the critical importance of early childhood literacy and will take an active role in their child's reading development. All children in Connecticut will have books of their own.
