Chef Roberto Rosa- While not born there, Roberto Rosa certainly was raised, surrounded by the restaurant business, in Boston. He would bounce around, starting as a line cook at 17, picking up different experiences in a variety of cuisines and positions, even earning a diploma in general electricity. He made his first extended stay at Cityside Tavern, where he had a chance to show his creative side in the form of their ever-evolving menu, taking those ideas with him aboard ships after he began to work in Odyssey Cruises. On the ship, he learned a vast majority of his disciplinary philosophy. After increasing his family, he took the next steps to ensure greater heights, deciding on what cuisine he is happiest with and being part of the building process for a restaurant. He fell in love with the Italian cuisine at Ristorante Molise, he even lent his hand in the opening of their second location, not only involved as a chef but his knowledge of electricity and handyman skills aided in lowering costs, ensuring everything built up to the opening was smooth. That wasn't enough for him though, it was his turn to be the boss, and took the risk of coming down south to open an authentic Italian restaurant. It wasn't easy, but success is no accident, in 2007 he became the owner of Antonia's Cucina Italiana with two subsequent restaurants following suit. He tried his hand afterwards in a different approach with Azul, but the failure from that didn't stop him nor could the arrival of Covid, even though he has taken a step down from the restaurant business, he is sticking to his wish of delivering people good food with a smile on his face.
