Doug Brannan grew up in the Buckeye Valley in Arizona in the 1950's and 60's with two passions- art and music. He entertained himself by drawing cars, planes, army tanks, spaceships and robots. For music, he tuned
his transistor radio to stations that played the Beatles, Beach Boys, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. His father heard an announcement on radio that high school students were invited to participate in a two-week broadcasting
course at Phoenix College. Brannan took advantage of the course which resulted in a 30-year career in radio broadcasting in Arizona.

Meanwhile, he dabbled in drawing and painting as a hobby, until some 10 years ago when he wanted a new challenge, and started collecting unique items in antique shops, thrift stores and yard sales. He used these items
to create assemblage art, or robot sculptures. He calls them "Refried Robots" and their sole mission is to bring a smile to the faces of art lovers of all ages.

Dimensions are 13"x10" and 24" tall.
