Hannah was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. After 3 open heart surgeries (the first one at 10 days old) many other procedures and surgeries, a lot of hospital stays later... Hannah received a heart transplant on 8/6/2017. She had a very tough recovery from transplant but finally came home 10/17/17, 73 days post transplant. Her first year after transplant she was in and out of the hospital 3 times but only one admission a year since! She is now healthy, active and enjoying life.

Riley Hospital ranks in eight pediatric specialties according to U.S. News & World Report's "2018-19 Best Children's Hospitals" report. Each year children from all 92 Indiana counties turn to Riley Hospital and its regional clinics throughout the state more than 323,000 times. Without external financial support, the dedicated medical team at Riley Hospital could not sustain and expand the expert, compassionate care and pediatric research breakthroughs. Generous donors also allow Riley Hospital to provide cutting-edge facilities and cover the costs of medical specialty areas that are not self-sustaining.
