Artist Bio:

Katrina, just over 16 years old, is an African leopard. One of her many characteristics that makes her unique is her beautiful, black coat. Katrina is a melanistic leopard, meaning her coat is just darker than the usual gold of other leopards, but when she is sunbathing, her rosettes can still be seen just like any other leopard. Katrina is a typical big cat and enjoys spending her days taking long cat naps, often laying on her back with her feet in the air. African leopards are specialized climbers, their shoulder blades have specialized attachment sites for strong climbing muscles which allows them to spend most of their days in the trees sleeping and waiting for the perfect time to hunt.
