ARTIST BIO
My spirit is truly energized by the natural world and why I have come to focus on painting landscapes. I feel fortunate to live in a spot where the horizon is wide and the skies broad, among hay meadows, plowed fields and fence rows. It is my hope that a viewer connecting with my little paintings may renew their sense of place in the world.

I began painting in a small format several years ago and found working small is not only conducive to maintaining a daily painting practice but also provides me an opportunity to provide an intimate interpretation of the natural elements around us.

Bio
I attained a BFA from Edinboro State University in Pennsylvania and completed graduate studies in metal-smithing and art history at Indiana University of Pa.

I enjoyed a career working in the museum profession, first as Registrar with the Historical Society of York County and later as Curator of the National Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia, Pa. After moving to New Mexico and living in Santa Fe for several years, I returned to Pennsylvania and worked with the non-profit Rails-to-Trails Conservancy until retiring in 2014.

I have had several successful solo shows in York and Marietta and regularly exhibit my work in juried and group shows in the area. In 2020 I was awarded an Artists Professional Development Grant by the Cultural Alliance of York County.
