Monty the turkey vulture is an ambassador animal residing at the Koret Animal Resource Center.

Ranging from Southern Canada to South America, turkey vultures are common here in the Bay Area and are easy to spot with their signature bright red head and large wingspan.

Typically seen circling above, these birds are scavengers, relying on their excellent eyesight and acute senses of smell to locate carrion several miles away.

As one of the top avian scavengers in the United States these birds help to keep forests, fields and even our roads clean! When Monty isn't eating she enjoys sunning with her wings out on her aviary perches.

This print of Monty's feather is 8"x10" framed to 12"x15"
