Rhododendron, Ramps and 'Roni Rolls!
This remarkable contribution from the after school Plus Program to the Spring Gala is a multi-media collage paying tribute to the Mountain State and the people, places, events and creatures that make it almost heaven.
The final piece will be finished in a beautiful gold with glass to protect the fabrications.
The collage was created by students in the after school program from upcycled fabric scraps, recycled trim and drawings on paper and in upholstery trimming.
The figures, fauna and events depicted were chosen by the children.... many represent their parents and/or their favorite things about West Virginia. Take a close look and see how many you recognize!
