This guitar was custom made exclusively for the Solebury auction by parent Joseph Notte. Lovingly hand-crafted from black walnut and maple with mother of pearl inlay, this acoustic/electric guitar features a uniquely placed sound hole, Fishman Preamp, and Gotoh tuner.
Numbered 55 in a series, this guitar bears the name "Carpe Diem" and is accompanied by a case, stand, and leather strap.

A proud Solebury alum, Ed Buffman '65 creates riveting sculptures in wood and metal that have been exhibited throughout the Delaware Valley. He is also known for his handcrafted furniture that is beautifully unique as well as functional. This piece, Enfold, was created from a single piece of Cherry. Ed's love of the process of sculpting - of uncovering and refining what is naturally found in the wood - is evident in this gracious and lyrical sculpture.
