Freese made his first start of the 2021 MLS Regular Season vs NYRB (Jul. 8

Made his first postseason start against New York City FC in the Eastern Conference Finals of the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs, becoming the first homegrown goalkeeper in club history to start a MLS Cup Playoffs match.

2019 (Philadelphia/Bethlehem):

Freese made six appearances with 5 starts for the Union

MLS and Union debut vs. Montreal (April 20)

Made his first MLS start at Vancouver (April 27)

Nominated for USL Championship save of the week (

Signed his first professional contract as the Union's 10th all-time Homegrown Player on December 21, 2018.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Freese called into the U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team training camp in January 2021

Was part of the squad for the 2021 Concacaf Olympic Qualifiers.

Received his first call-up in 2019 to the United States Under-23 national team ahead of a training camp in Chula Vista, CA from September 1-10.
Started a friendly vs. Japan (September 9), keeping a clean sheet for 45 min
