About Komera
Komera develops self-confident young women through education, community and health. We created Komera, in rural Rwanda, to assist girls who have the courage and desire to pursue secondary education, but who lack the resources to do so. As a leadership incubator, we invest in inspired young women taking action towards self-empowerment. We create the space for shared experience, education & leadership training, and we use sport as a tool to empower and connect people around the world!
The Komera Leadership Center
In 2019, we embarked on an ambitious initiative to build a home for Komera, the Komera Leadership Center. Throughout 2020, we worked towards making this dream a reality with the support of generous funders and partners. We are proud to have the support of the Rwandan government as they have donated the land for the Center, showing their investment and commitment to Komera's work. Since 2020, our construction team has been working hard to make up for time lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are so excited to share that the Leadership Center is on track to be completed this year!
We envision a world where our scholars, and the community members surrounding them, will have place to call home - a place that you belong to, where you feel the love and support of others. And a place that stands as a beacon of hope for all. At no other time has support for young women been more central to the goal of making our world a better place. We need the next generation of female learners and leaders like never before as we aspire to drive holistic and sustainable societal change.
As we battle the effects of the pandemic globally, we know now more than ever that young women need our support. As economies and livelihoods are decimated, as families can no longer afford to send their children to school, and as young women struggle to access the health services they so desperately need, we are committed more than ever to not just build back better, but to build forward together.

COVID- 19 Safety Protocol
Per the restaurant's COVID-19 requirements, guests will be required to wear a mask inside when not actively eating or drinking, and will need to show proof of vaccination.
The following are acceptable as proof of Full Vaccination, along with a photo ID:
(i) the actual CDC vaccination card, which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date last dose administered, or similar documentation issued by another foreign governmental jurisdiction,
(ii) a photo of the vaccination card as a separate document, or a photo of the vaccination card stored on a phone or electronic device,
(iii) a QR Digital Code of your COVID-19 Vaccine Record
