Dr. Audra Duncan is currently professor and Chair/Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Western University in London, ON. Dr. Duncan received her BSc in Chemistry from MIT and completed her MD and general surgery training at New Jersey Medical School. She was a vascular surgery fellow at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, and joined the staff at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN from 2000-2015. Dr. Duncan has led multiple educational and research committees, including Program Director of the Mayo Vascular Surgery Residency and Fellowship, Institutional Review Board Chair, Chair of the SVS Resident and Student Outreach Committee and current Chair of the American College of Surgeons Vascular Surgery Advisory Council, and co-chair of the SVS Inaugural Women's Section.

Dr. Duncan's research interests and areas of expertise include: ruptured aneurysms, open management outcomes of paravisceral aortic aneurysms, gender differences in vascular surgery outcomes, thoracic outlet syndrome in adolescents, complex aortic reconstructions for aneurysms. She has given more than 130 presentations, nationally and internationally, on these and other related topics. She has also authored more than 135 papers published in peer reviewed journals and contributed to more than 40 book chapters. She has served as the co-chair of the SVS guidelines committee on thoracic outlet reporting standards, a member of the SVS carotid guidelines committee and section editor for the 10th edition of Rutherford's Vascular Surgery textbook. She is currently the Journal of Vascular Surgery Assistant Editor of Reviews.
