About the Pecan Harvest
American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions (AIT-SCM) will hold its sixth annual Pecan Harvest gala to celebrate the aboriginal people of this land and their ancestral practice of harvesting pecans in the late fall. We are thrilled to provide a savory buffet of pecan-themed foods and beverages, a presentation of the AIT Dance Theater, the Mission Heritage Awards, and time in community.
The winter social will be held Saturday, Dec. 4 from 6-9 p.m. at Progreso Hall and is a fundraiser for the array of AIT-SCM programs which include education, family health and wellness, Indigenous arts, and civic engagement.
