Included:
(1) Pertinent, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Blend (Red)
Description: Alessandro comes through for us with our first Italian red blend, made from French grapes Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine is named "PERTINENT" and was inspired by our oldest son, Joe. Alessandro makes an oak aged Cabernet in top vintages named "Pascal" which is all gone, pre-release. And he makes that terrific Merlot Selezzione, also oak aged. Well, we were able to convince him to sell us a barrel of each, and we made a blend that is roughly 60% Cabernet and 40% Merlot. Alessandro says: "The wine is really amazing." Red and black currant, raspberry liquorice and cherry to the nose. In the mouth, it's fresh, full-bodied and smooth with clean tannins and a long fruity aftertaste. This is a wine that will excel with summertime grilled meats, especially steaks and ribs. It has the flavor profile to hold up to rus, and we like it best with a chipotle rub. Enjoy - we only have 20 cases.
(1) Pascolo Collio, Sauvignon (White)
Description: This sparkling wine represents Ruttars' hill at the best. Excellent quality grapes give a tasty wine, in which all the minerality of this hill is expressed. The slow winemaking process gives extremely soft bubbles that make very elegant the wine. This is what we call "a great wine with bubbles".
VINEYARD: Place: Ruttàrs hamlet, comune of Dolegna del Collio, hill, marl and sandstone soil, south-west facing. Training system: guyot 10 buds/plant, 5000 plants/hectare, year of planting 1989/1993; hand-harvest, yield 6 tons/hectare.
WINEMAKING AND AGEING: Blend of Ribolla gialla (60%), Chardonnay (20%) and Riesling (20%). De-stemming and pressing. Fermentation in steel tanks at for six months on the lees. Bottling without adding sugars, ageing in bottle 4 months.
ORGANOLEPTIC SENSATIONS: Colour straw yellow. Intense and very rich flavour of green apple, pineapple, aromatic herbs, on mineral background. Fresh in mouth, velvety bubbles, salty, fruity and mineral finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Fish appetizers, first courses with vegetables and herbs. Serve at 9-10°C.
BOTTLE SIZE: Champagne-style regular bottle.

Glass Feather by Nic McGuire
$710One-of-a-Kind, Hand-Blown Glass Feather by Nic McGuire
Nic McGuire is a modern glass artist living in San Diego, CA. Best known as a hot glass sculptor who hand forms molten glass into contemporary art. His glass work incorporates complex sculpture techniques with modern forms and unique color palettes to produce one-of-a-kind artwork. He has a passion for making his signature glass feather series.
Medium - The glass is alive when it is hot, it has a mind of its own and a memory. It has a mysteriousness about it that captures our curiosity. Hard like a rock, yet as transparent as the air we look through. The molten glass has exotic properties compared to other materials you come into contact with on a day-to-day basis. It glows with a brilliance of color and emits an enormous amount of heat that challenge a sculptor to find a way to control these extreme properties in order to achieve a finished piece of art. Stainless steel armatures bring a new elegance to the sculptures.
Dimension: 29x6x5"

Sam the Cooking Guy Kit
$330Sam the Cooking Guy Skillet and Knife Set, Book and Cutting Board
Sam the Cooking Guy is an everyday guy - me (I have 15 Emmys? just thought I would drop that one in) - who has found a way to make cooking casually understandable. With no fancy equipment and by speaking English instead of 'chef-speak,' I'm sort of the everyman of cooking. I have two shows, the TV show SAM THE COOKING GUY airs on YUR VIEW with COX, and my online show, STCGO. Both are shot right in my house - and I cook with my kids, dogs - just like we all do. There's no fois gras? no white truffle oil, no 'Peruvian mountain-raised squab in sesame-lime-soy marinade stuffed with braised forest turnips and wild enoki mushrooms in a hand pressed plum and raspberry glaze'. I'm just a regular guy, using regular words showing how to cook easy, great food? Food that's 'big in taste and small in effort'. It's a handful of ingredients and a few steps - that's it. This is a cooking show "for the rest of us," I like to say.
Set includes:
- Sam's latest book, "Recipes with Intentional Leftovers"
- The OG 12" Cast Iron Skillet with Lid
- The Essential 7" Nakiri Knife
- The Classic 8" Chef Knife
- The Perfect 4" Paring Knife
- The Ideal 8" Bread Knife
- Bamboo cutting board
