Some of the best wines of Italy are from the Piedmont, the northwest corner sharing borders with France and Switzerland. The premier grape, Nebbiolo, grows in a small region of the Piedmont, only five townships have the soils suited to this grape, the source of Barolo. Barolos are big, rich red wines, but need 5-10 years to mature, for the flavors to blend, and then the wines will remain superb for decades. This case includes bottles that have already been cellared for at least six years: 2013, 2014 and two bottles 2015 Fenocchio Barolo Bussia, a 2013 and 2016 Ciabot Berton Barolo, a 2015 and a 2016 Osvaldo Viberti Del Comune di la Morra, two bottles of 2016 Settimo Roche del Annunziata, and two bottles of Sergio Bolino Bricco Rocca.
