This set of 4 Full-Color signed & numbered Lithographs were commissioned by the Clark
County Park District and originally painted by greatly sought-after local artist and Catholic Central grad, Michael Copeland '70. Copeland's unique style and attention to detail, captures the natural beauty of the earth & sky and these special places that are often overlooked.
All 4 Lithos are of areas on the site of "The Battle of Peckewe of 1780." Here Col. Geo. R. Clark and his Kentucky militia defeated a force of British Regulars and Shawnee "Indians" in the largest battle of the American Revolution east of the Allegheny Mountains. The battle was fought at what is now G. Rogers Clark Park. Each scene is printed in strikingly bright, vivid colors and each comes safely stored in a "stay-clean" 17" x 22" envelope. Proceeds from the sale of these Lithographs support the Clark County Park District in the preservation of ecologically & historically significant areas in Clark County Ohio.
