The Steiner Annual Fund raises funds for curriculum-inspired projects, including our Green Science Program envisioned to enrich the learning spaces for students of all ages and for their teachers.

Our Fund the Future campaign, launched in 2020, is focused on the transformation of our Lower School Cellar into a space that can be enjoyed by our community as they gather to be nourished, to learn, to create, and to grow together. Our cafeteria serves as a 'village green,' the central space for us to meet each other and discover and connect with the many different aspects of our community.

The planned design and underlying engineering will create a warm, inviting, and functional space and a link to the school's outdoor green spaces, including the terraces and the Upper School roof. The modern design uses natural, handmade, and sustainable materials.

Established in 2020 to meet the needs of our community members who were most affected by the worldwide pandemic, the Steiner Resilience Fund continues to raise funds to preserve the fabric of our diverse community by supporting:

• Our diversity, equity, inclusion and justice efforts through tuition assistance to families of color in need.
• Our ongoing increased operational expenses needed to manage health and safety requirements during a third school year affected by the pandemic.
• The ongoing professional development of our talented and beloved teachers.
• Outright financial contributions and proceeds from our Steiner Holiday Auction will benefit the Steiner Resilience Fund.

Goal for 2021-2022: $150K

The Growth and Sustainability campaign is intended to help us grow our existing endowment to achieve a healthy sustainable financial picture for our school. Steiner Endowment Fund income will directly support operational capital improvements. Investment income underwrites capital improvements that are not covered by the large curriculum-based projects supported by the Steiner Annual Fund.

A sample of upcoming projects include the partial replacement of the HVAC system in the Upper School, as well as upgrades in the Upper School Library and Art Room.
