IndyCar is coming to Nashville with the 2nd Annual Music City Grand Prix. For three days in August, the streets of downtown will come alive with the sounds of music, food, and racing, all spun into an experience you just have to be there to feel.

To make this race even more spectacular, this course is designed to challenge the drivers and excite the fans. This temporary track, or street circuit, takes racers by Nissan Stadium (home of the NFL Tennessee Titans) and over the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge into downtown Nashville.

Championship golf and champion golfers have long been intertwined with the mystique of Merion Golf Club's East and West Courses. Designed by Hugh Wilson, Merion's East Course has played host to more USGA Championships than any course in America and is home to some of its greatest moments. From Robert Tyre Jones, Jr.'s completion of golf's elusive Grand Slam at the 1930 U.S. Amateur to Ben Hogan's awe-inspiring performance and now legendary one-iron on the 72nd hole during the 1950 U.S. Open, the sculpted greens, fairways and treacherous bunkers of Merion have shaped the game. Most recently the host of the 2013 U.S. Open, Merion continues to not only challenge the world's best, but identify them as well.

A report on the opening of Merion's East Course on September 14, 1912 said the course was "among experts, considered the finest inland links in the country."
With the completion of the West Course in May of 1914, Merion became the first club in the nation to boast two 18-hole championship layouts.
Olin Dutra's victory in the 1934 U.S. Open at Merion, despite battling severe sickness, was proclaimed by one reporter, as "courageous a victory as any ever scored on the golf links."
Some historians regard Jack Nicklaus's performance (66-67-68-68-269) in the 1960 World Amateur Team Championship at Merion as one of the most dominant performances in golf. After his dramatic 18-hole playoff victory over Jack Nicklaus in the 1971 U.S. Open, Lee Trevino was quoted, "I love Merion, and I don't even know her last name."
Jack Nicklaus once said, "Acre for acre, [Merion] may be the best test of golf in the world."

Probably the consummate design of architect Seth Raynor, who died in early 1926, before the course had officially opened. His steeply-banked bunkers and geometric greens harmonize perfectly with the linear panoramas of the Atlantic Ocean and Long Island Sound. The quality of the holes is also superb, with all Raynor's usual suspects, including not one but two Redan greens, one on a par 4. The number 9 rated course in United States by Golf Digest.

"From the simple and effective Cape Cod-style clubhouse, to the subtle elegance of the water, this place oozes with traditional values of the game. The cart paths are fairly simple sand and pebbles, matching the local environment. While the summer "cottages" that adorn the property are quite spectacular, the structures of the club are quite austere: plain siding with clean paint, white trim and tucked away from the course itself. The natural faces to the bunkers with long grass and wide-tooth rakes made the bunkers difficult -- places to avoid rather than places to land."
"This course has every bit of the aesthetic beauty within the course, not to mention outside the course. The lines of the fairway horizons contrast beautifully with the ocean lines in the background. On some holes, the cavernous bunkers and steep slopes down to the beach provide a depth that contrasts with the elevated greens and flat approaches. The use of native grasses to separate the golf course from cottages blends in beautifully with the surroundings, and some of the archaic trees that adorn the property put out a soothing white noise with the leaves rustling in the ocean breeze. The ocean enters the course and is a fantastic internal design feature on many holes, most notably the 18th."
"Even though the Raynor template holes are different in their own unique ways, the collective continuity comes from the ocean, the bunkering, the undulating fairways, and the green complexes. Many of the greens appear almost flat, with subtle undulations that are very difficult to read. The beauty of the site can possibly mask some issues with a few weak holes (#1 and #17 spring to mind), but the stretch from 2-12 is about as good as it gets. Unquestionably the best Biarritz, best Alps/Punchbowl, and best Eden in the Raynor portfolio."

Greystone Golf & Country Club is a private 36-hole golf club in the southeastern United States, located in Hoover, Alabama, a suburb southeast of Birmingham.

Opened 30 years ago in 1991, the first of the two courses was the Founders Course, designed by Bob Cupp and Hubert Green. The Legacy Course opened in 2000, designed by Rees Jones. The Legacy Course is currently ranked #89 in Golf Week's Top 100 Residential Courses.[4]

From 1992-2005, the club hosted the Bruno's Memorial Classic on the senior tour. The Founders Course was so beloved by the players, officials, and media that they voted it in a Sports Illustrated poll as the #1 stop on the tour two years in a row.[5][6]

Since 2016, the Founders Course has hosted the Regions Traditions, a senior major championship. It had been held nearby at Shoal Creek for the previous five editions.
