Celebrate your birthday parties/playdates at The GIANT Room Chelsea Hub! We'll design a series of engaging activities for your group based on your interests. Like a real maker and dreamer, you and your guests will also have the chance to play around with our fabrication tools including a laser cutter and 3D printer, electronics, programmables LEDs and building blocks, and arts and crafts material to build upon your GIANT Dreams!

Hours for Children's Parties: Any two hour timeframe 10:00am to 5:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

+ How does it work?
Our team will work with you to plan a series of activities for your party that matches your interests. That means every party at The GIANT Room is truly unique and super fun!

While in the space, you and your guests are also welcome to make anything you wish including your own customized gifts using fabrication tools such as a 3D printer, sticker machine, button maker, laser cutter, embroidery and sewing machines; arts and craft materials including beads and modeling clay, electronics, and so much more. GIANT Staff are talented and experienced artists, designers, and instructors who will guide you throughout the process.

In addition to the fabrication tools and arts and crafts kits, you are more than welcome to build with construction toys such as Rigamajig and Clixo, experiment with creative technologies such as littleBits, Makey Makey, Microbit, and Specdrums, or give it a spin at our DJ corner!

+ Do I need to pay extra for material or use of machines?
No. All machine use and art material fee is included in the price of your private event

You are more than welcome to use all creative electronics, coding, and construction toys (such as Rigamajig and Clixo) while in the space. If you decide to take them home, we will charge you for these materials.

+ What age group is this for?
Kids as young as 2 years old have enjoyed building and playing in our space. However, we recommend ages 3 to 12 years old. We also provide adults creative and arts programs.

+ What are some of the example projects kids can do?
Honestly sky is the limit. Here are few examples of birthday activities we have done in the past:

3D Printing, lasercutting, and building landmarks

Slime, tie dye, and painting extravaganza
Setting up a dinosaur museum
Rainbows, Unicorns, and Butterflies love
The GIANT Room is for dreaming and building. Come by and we can assure you your child will have a blast!

+ Can we bring my own decorations?
While we don't think you need to, you are absolutely welcome to bring your own decorations if you'd like to. You may come in to our studio one hour in advance for set up

+ Can we eat in the space given COVID?
We ask you to avoid serving food and drinks due to COVID precautions. We'd had families bringing cupcake for their guests to take home. If you'd like to have a cake ceremony and eat few bites there, we'll set up your cake table in the front space of our studio to enjoy your cake while our staff will remain the back for social distancing.
