A pair of tea cups by Ohi Chozaemon XI, donated by Ambassador Mondale
Hand-painted in red on the black glaze, this pair of cups comes with its original, signed wood box.
They were made by Ohi Chozaemon XI (Toshio; born 1958), the 11th generation head of the Ohi family of potters in Kanazawa. The Ohi Ware with 350 years of history, does not use any wheel, but is formed by hand.
