If you've always wanted to get your hands covered in clay, now is your chance! Bid high for this 3-hour private pottery class with master potter, Meryl Goldsmith. Meryl has been creating pottery at Purple Sage Pottery in Merrimac, MA for over 25 years. She also teaches pottery classes at Purple Sage Pottery and sells her stunningly beautiful pottery locally. During this private class, Meryl will teach you how to use the potter's wheel and you can try your hand there or do some hand building or both.

The class is for one adult (18+) only and must be used between January 2, 2022 and August 31, 2022. All three hours must be scheduled on one day, which will be mutually agreed upon between Meryl and the winner based on studio availability. You will receive up to 10 pounds of finished high fire stoneware pottery. Meryl will complete the finish work on your piece and will glaze them in your choice of glazes from those available at Purple Sage Pottery. Your pottery piece will take between 10-12 weeks for completion depending on the firing schedule. High fire stoneware pottery is unpredictable both in terms of what the finished glaze looks like and the structural integrity of the pots created. Meryl will do her best to guide you while creating your pots and during the finishing and glazing process, but can't guarantee the final results. Your finished piece will be available for pick up at the New Hampshire SPCA or an agreed upon location within 15 miles of the NHSPCA.
