Born and raised in the heart of Silicon Valley, Chef Adam was surrounded with an abundance inspiration from the world's best fruits, tree nuts, and colorful vegetables. As a young boy, he helped his Italian father, and grandparents of Zoppala heritage in the kitchen, hand-crafting traditional dishes to be shared at a dining table large and loud in taste as well as conversation. What started as curiosity in food quickly developed to a passion for learning and sharing his craft with a personal touch.
Chef Adam enrolled in the International Culinary Center in the Silicon Valley to learn the trade from master chefs. In the culinary institute, he learned master knife skills and found an affinity for precise cuts of delicate meats and seafood. At Forbes Mill Steakhouse, a 5 star restaurant East of San Francisco, he brought this appreciation for cuts and seafood, handling the top 1% of American prime steaks and Japanese A5 wagyu. Chef Adam oversaw there day to day culinary operations for almost ten years.
After leaving Forbes Mill Steakhouse and Blackhawk Grill, in the East Bay Chef Adam returned to the south bay to be closer to family, and oversee Willard Hicks Restaurant in Campbell and Morgan Hill. While at Willard Hicks chef Adam continued his passion for cooking, executing whiskey pairing dinners and many offsite private events. It was during one of these private small dinner party's Chef Adam decided it was time to leave the large corporate kitchens, and get back to his roots of cooking around the family dinner table. The past year Chef Adam has been building his private chef career focusing in on providing that great restaurant quality experience in the comfort of your home.
Chef Adam currently lives in St. Martin with his wife Delia, an accomplished chef as well, and their daughter Alexandra. Together they bring the joy of cooking into their home, and continue to impart their love of cooking into new dishes for the family. Chef Adam uses his love of food to cross divides and build flavor profiles taken from trips to Thailand, Fiji, Cuba, Italy, Ireland, and Mexico.
