Take an armchair tour of Scotland's Highlands, Lowlands, and the Speyside through a sampling of each region's Scotch. Each area's whisky has its own distinct character, from the milder, softer tones of the Lowlands, to the fruitier tastes of the Speyside whiskies, and ending with the famous smokey whisky of the Highlands. Along the way, page through the Whisky Dictionary to learn about the history and culture of whisky.

Included in this package:

Battlehill Inchgower 11yr 2009: A rarely seen Battle Hill Single Malt from the Inchgower Distillery in Speyside has been bottled at 52% and is limited to 1272 bottles. The whiskey is lighter bodied with delicate notes of honey and caramel and toffee, with a peppery finish. (Value: $78)

The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve: The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is an indulgent, smooth single malt that displays a multitude of exotic flavors. The spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, yielding soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is then apportioned between American white oak casks and aged Tawny Port pipes from W & J Graham's vineyard in Portugal. The two parts are then brought back together to harmonize the flavors before bottling. (Value: $109)

Port Askaig 110 Proof: A harmonious marriage of carefully selected casks, creating the perfect balance of sweet fruit and dark smoke, typical of the finest Islay whiskies. To keep its purity, Port Askaig whiskey is non chill-filtered and no coloring is added. (Value: $79)

The Whiskey Dictionary: An A-Z of whisky, from history and heritage to distilling and drinking.
