Select a student to spend one whole day developing leadership skills and serving as the leader of their school!

The Principal for the Day shall conduct business at their own work space in their office, receive a name badge and a clipboard and receive complimentary lunch that they can eat in their office. Activities and responsibilities for the Principal for the Day will engage in include:

• Morning Duty
• Morning Announcements
• Sending an email to the teachers giving everyone an extra ten minute recess for the day
• Deliver items from the office to the classrooms
• Make copies
• Lunch Duty
• Call mom or dad on the office phone
• Send mom or dad an email
• Send them to PE, recess or any other special events (We don't want them to miss out on play!)
• Attend meetings if possible
• Read to other classrooms
• Afternoon Duty (Car line, Bus, etc)
• Positive Post-its for teachers
• Make an announcement via the intercom
• Call teachers who forget to submit attendance
• Take their clipboards and walk the hallways looking for safety hazards/items that need cleaning
• Security Check: walk the building to make sure all the doors are locked.

The winner will receive a certificate with a customized section where they can write in a student's name to receive this honor. That student will then be able to hold this position for one whole day on a mutually agreed upon date during the 2021-2022 school year.
