Acupuncture works to relieve many health conditions. The number of treatments required to resolve health care issues depends on many factors including how long you have had the condition and its severity. The first treatment typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and follow up treatments last 45 to 60 minutes.

At the first treatment you will discuss your general health, focusing on symptoms you experience and in-depth information on your chief complaint(s). Once they complete this 20-30 minute discussion, they will gather more information by inspecting your tongue and feeling the radial pulse in both arms. Acupuncture begins after this intake is completed.

Once the acupuncture needles are inserted, they remain in place for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. As part of your treatment, you may also receive gua sha, cupping, moxa or heat lamp therapy. After the treatment is completed, they will discuss your treatment plan, including how many treatments are needed for maximum efficacy and any lifestyle, dietary or herbal recommendations.
