RAYGUN is a Midwest-based unionized shop located in Andersonville, Chicago. They have both an in-person store and online shopping available. Since they started, 15-30% of their net profits have gone to a variety of organizations they support. In addition to money, they have given merchandise, expertise, in-store events, and volunteer hours to the groups they believe in.

Malia Designs was formed to increase economic opportunity for women in Cambodia and to support organizations that fight human trafficking in Southeast Asia. Their fair trade fashion products are made by small social enterprises that employ underprivileged people in Cambodia. Through these partnerships they connect makers to Western markets, expanding their access to sustainable income and safe and dignified working conditions.

Malia Designs also strives to assist survivors of human trafficking by donating to organizations working to fight trafficking in Cambodia and the US. Human trafficking is a multi-billion dollar illegal industry affecting millions of people every year. Malia believes that one way to counteract this global issue is to increase access to economic opportunity in the most affected areas.

Women & Children First believes in the transformative power of literature. As intersectional trans-inclusive feminists, they believe books are tools for liberation. Since 1979, they have celebrated and amplified underrepresented voices. In order for feminism to remain relevant, it must be forever evolving. In their bookstore:

  • They thoughtfully curate their selection of books.
  • They offer a welcoming space for learning, dialogue, and reflection.
  • They host author events, and they facilitate community conversations, book groups, and storytimes.
  • They strive toward a feminist, equitable workplace.
  • They partner with and support schools and mission-aligned organizations through programming, monetary contributions, and in-kind donations.
  • They are leaders in the localism movement and we champion independent businesses.
