Cain, Age 16, Participates in the Art Program at Devereux. Students researched the Hispanic/Latinx festival "Dia de los Muertos" and brainstormed how to put their personality and culture into a sugar skull design. Using the traditional technique of paper quilling, Cain meticulously rolled and shaped the paper to fit individual shapes for the final design. He was so proud of the piece he created with the help of his art teacher. He has made great improvement in school and with interacting with peers through time spent with his tutors and therapist.
