Thank you for joining me in supporting this event. I have been a Red Cross Volunteer for 15 years, and every year I look forward to recognizing the Real Heroes in our communities. People who make the time, who step past their own concerns, and care for our neighbors. This event is about the people in our communities, in our workplaces and in our homes, who step up and lean in when things are hardest for those around them.
Supporting Real Heroes, and listening to these inspiring stories is one of the best days of my whole year, it brings inspiration to my holiday season and reignites my passion for The American Red Cross, and volunteering. I hope you find inspiration here too.
