Included are two works of art:
a signed copy of "The Accomplice" by author Melissa Jacobus and the 20"x 24" signed, printed reproduction on canvas of an original oil painting by Evan Sykes.

Melissa and Evan collaborated on the artwork for the book jacket which contains a hidden message much like that of FASD, also known as the "invisible or hidden" disability.

"The Accomplice," signed by author Melissa Jacobus., is a call to action for the country to acknowledge Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) for what it is - a developmental disability that affects millions-and to help society recognize that this "invisible" disability is more than visible, it's a crisis.

From the "Praise for The Accomplice" by Tom Donaldson, President, FASD United:

"The Accomplice" is a compelling story of a mother's heartache and her coming-of-age children struggling to find grown-up judgement to match their newfound spirit. Woven through her journey and the cause of her children's challenges are the bewildering effects of the most common yet most ignored developmental disability, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. Overlooked or discounted by professionals and nearly every corner of society, parents are deemed to be at fault for their offspring's troubles, and affected children are labeled irredeemable. Melissa Jacobus shares a riveting story of grief, ridicule, and hidden disability overcome by courage, love, and faith. Her story inspires the human spirit and issues a resounding call to prevent and heal a widespread disability too long ignored.

"The Accomplice" by Melissa Jacobus is available on Amazon.
