Long before the pandemic, astronomers from Caltech were exploring the universe remotely from the comfort of their homes and offices. With some of the most advanced telescopes on Earth and in space, Caltech has unmatched views into the deepest and darkest secret places in the sky. You and up to 10 of your friends and family will join Caltech astronomer Dr. Gordon K. Squires for a private ~1-2 hour Zoom call to leave planet Earth and explore some of the latest discoveries enabled by observatories with Caltech involvement.

Your tour will include an exploration of our solar system, a trip to nearby exoplanets - some of which have similarities to Earth and are key stepping stones to searching for life in the universe - and outwards from our Milky Way galaxy, looking back towards the beginning of time. This Zoom session can be tailored for any audience, and any knowledge and interest levels.

Gordon is an award-winning astronomer, working primarily with space- and ground-based telescopes that have Caltech operational participation. For his research, Gordon studies the very distant universe, attempting to map and constrain the mysterious "dark matter/dark energy" distribution in structures that formed billions of years ago.

Includes out-of-this-world adult beverages for 10.
