Experience your favorite movie on the big screen! Gather with family, friends or co-workers, or any combination thereof, for an adventure in the beautiful Akron Civic Theatre. You and your guests will have the auditorium all to yourselves (with a tech person on duty).

Make it a themed event, a family day, an employee thank-you outing, a very special date, or just a good old-fashioned matinee! You can dress up or dress down for a fun afternoon downtown!

GUIDELINES
This PRIVATE MOVIE MATINEE can be used on a date to be determined with Akron Civic Theatre.

WHAT TIME CAN WE START OUR EVENT?
You can BEGIN your event any time between 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

HOW MANY PEEPS?
No more than 100 guests may be in attendance. More? Talk to us.

WHO SUPPLIES THE MOVIE?
You do. You must bring with you the DVD or Blu-Ray of the movie you would like to watch. In addition, please bring a second movie just in case there is a technical problem with your first choice.

WHAT ABOUT FOOD AND BEVVIES?
You can bring your own food, soft drinks, and water, but you cannot bring your own alcoholic beverages due to the restrictions of the Civic's liquor license. If you win this package, and so desire, you will be able to purchase a package of beers and wines from the theater.

Please note: Auction items not claimed at the Akron Civic Theatre gala on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, must be picked up at the theater. The date and time of pick-up will be arranged directly with the high bidder.
