This item is a Tani original piece 10"x8". Tani was born in China and adopted when she was a few months old. Tani grew up in Westchester, right north of Manhattan, with two parents who worked in an artistic field - her father, a professional puppeteer and photography enthusiast (photo-developing chemicals immediately bring her back to the hours spent sitting in the darkroom with her dad throughout her childhood) and her mother, a graphic and fine artist who continues painting and designing packaging to this day. In college, Tani majored in business and art history and minored in studio art. Minoring never even occurred to her, but she just found herself signing up for more and more art classes because they were a fun respite from the lectures on economics and the Renaissance. After graduating, Tani worked in DC in marketing and events then moved to New Orleans in the summer of 2019 (great time to be lifting heavy boxes and carrying them up a narrow staircase in an old house!) Nearly four years after graduating from Washington and Lee, Tani finally picked up a paintbrush and started painting. This item was kindly donated by Tani.
