Memphis Moth
The Memphis Moth pendant and necklace features cloisonné enamel, a traditional technique which involves forming fine silver wire into decorative shapes. The bright and vibrant colors are created with Japanese leaded enamels. It is prong set and hung on a 20-inch black cord. The materials include: Silver, copper, enamel, waxed cotton.
5cm x 0.5cm x 27cm. The cord is 20 inches long.
About the Artist
Danielle Shum is a 3rd year BFA candidate in Metalsmithing + Jewelry Design at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Her work often examines metamorphic processes and organic forms as well as transformations across cultural beliefs and social customs. She explores techniques in enameling, chasing and repoussé, and stone setting.
