We find the process by which they created "the world's best chocolate chip cookie" to be satisfyingly scientific!

ONE BIG DREAM

It all started with one big dream, two crazy cousins, and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips. Sawyer Hemsley, Crumbl's co-founder and COO, created Crumbl with the goal to create the world's best chocolate chip cookie. He teamed up with his cousin Jason McGowan, Crumbl's CEO, and dove head-first into the world of baking. After thousands of dollars in wasted dough, recipes that did not live up to their expectations, and cookies that are just plain embarrassing to them today, the two cousins decided to take their "perfect cookie quest" to the people. They tested their cookies one ingredient at a time, asking random passersby at local gas stations and grocery stores to try two cookies side-by-side and answer one simple question: "Which of these two cookies is best?" They continued testing ingredients and baking methods until finally they came up with what they believe to be the world's best chocolate chip cookie.
