Marquette Model Fertility Awareness (NFP) Instruction with Emily Kirkwold, PharmD. along with a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor and 60 Urine Test Strips
Donated by Drs. Emily Kirkwold, PharmD and Julie Mickelson, MD
Value: $575
Women deserve to know how their bodies were made to function and how they can work with their bodies to achieve their family planning and health goals! The biological signs of fertility are important for understanding women's menstrual and reproductive health.
The purpose of using natural biological signs of fertility is to help women and couples to identify the day closest to ovulation and narrow the estimated fertile window for couples who want to achieve pregnancy or avoid pregnancy without hormones.
The Marquette Method of NFP uses an algorithm that helps women and couples find their fertile window by interpreting biological signs of fertility. These signs of fertility are manifested in the activity of reproductive hormones found in urine, changes in cervical mucus and/or fluctuations in basal body temperatures.
With the Marquette Method, women can choose to monitor their fertility through a simple, at-home urine test. Different from other "ovulation prediction kits," the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor detects levels of both estrogen and LH. Using the device along with the Marquette Method protocols, even women with irregular cycles or with no cycles (postpartum) can detect their signs of fertility.
Women with regular cycles typically use 10-15 test strips per cycle, so 60 test strips will last 4-6 cycles. Women with longer cycles or who are postpartum will need to test more frequently.
This unique item would make a great wedding or baby shower gift for a couple interested in the Marquette Method.
Instruction in-person or virtual depending on availability.
